ABOUT RANDALL W. SPENCE
A lifetime of leadership.
A continuing commitment to what comes next.
For more than five decades, Randy Spence has worked with leaders and organizations through seasons of growth, responsibility, transition, and change, across executive leadership, senior care, statewide organizations, governance, consulting, higher education, and executive coaching.
Different roles.
The same work underneath them.
Randy’s career has rarely followed a single professional lane. He has served in pastoral ministry, led senior-care organizations, held statewide executive responsibility across more than two hundred congregations, chaired governing boards, advised leaders and organizations, coached executives, and served in higher-education governance.
The settings changed.
The work underneath them did not.
Again and again, his work has involved helping leaders understand what was actually happening beneath the immediate problem, clarify responsibility and accountability, make sound decisions about what came next, and build organizations capable of continuing beyond a single leader, season, or circumstance.

THE QUESTION UNDERNEATH IT ALL
What did you do with what you were given?
That question has become one of the clearest threads running through Randy’s work and writing. It applies to leadership, organizations, relationships, influence, time, and ultimately to life itself.
For Randy, finishing well is not about protecting a résumé or preserving a position. It is about stewarding what you have been given, and leaving something stronger, clearer, or more useful because you were there.

Beyond the work
A life still very much in motion.
Randy holds both a Ph.D. and a Doctor of Ministry, and currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Mid-America Christian University.
He and his wife, Pam, live in Tampa, Florida. They have two children and five grandchildren.
In this chapter of his life, Randy continues to advise leaders, coach executives, write, teach, and explore the questions that have followed him throughout his career: how we lead responsibly, navigate transition, and make the years we are given count.
WHERE THE WORK CONTINUES
Experience matters most when it is still being put to work.
For leaders carrying complexity, responsibility, transition, or a season that benefits from a trusted outside perspective.
Books and resources for people thinking seriously about purpose, stewardship, resilience, and how they want the years ahead to matter.
His experience crosses sectors, but the leadership questions are remarkably consistent.
